God has a funny way about revealing things to us. Have you ever thought about that? Here’s an example: I have thought about setting up a blog for a long time now. On December 5, 2007 I decided to setup this Vortex blog. Well, about 2 hours after I setup this blog, I was reading the blog our church started: Northview Christian Life. I decided to post a comment and as soon as I saved the comment, God hit me with an idea for another blog that we could promote this Christmas season to encourage people to give: http://www.giveupone.com/.
Suddenly, after sitting out of the blogging world for a while, I was now running two blogs and the GiveUpOne idea has touched a lot of people in just 2 weeks!
How often in life do we miss God’s plan for us? How often do we get an idea from God, but blow it off because we’re too busy.
I challenge you to stop and focus on ideas when you feel they are God inspired. Who knows, with God’s help and a small step of faith from you, amazing things will happen.

Welcome to Vortex Ministry
Hey - If you're not blogging these days, you're just out of it. I guess that's what they say. Who "they" are and why I care I don't really know.
But....I thought I better launch this blog to kick off some initiatives that I'm working on with starting a new ministry.
What is Vortex Ministry?
A vortex is known as a whirling mass that sucks everything near it into its core. Vortex Ministry exists to help people get sucked into Jesus. We exist to demonstrate that there is a better way to live, a better way to treat others, and a better way to be follow Jesus. Our mission is to propel the gospel of Jesus Christ through a message of hope, inspiration, and encouragement. We exist to share how God is working in our lives and in the lives of others.
We believe that everyone is a story teller. What’s your story?
We've got so many ideas running around about where God wants us to take this ministry. Sometimes it's a little overwhelming. I plan on expanding on the vision sometime soon, but I wanted to post a link to the first website initiative we're creating.
